| News: |
This Thursday at Lunch in the Science Lecture hall, preseason meeting. If you did not participate in a fall sport it is important that you get a physical so you can participate immediately.
First Practice: January 5th, 2009
Just as a heads up I am out running after school, just basic stuff. It is open to all whether you run track or not but a good way to ease in to the spring.

| Thursday April 3rd @ Independence | |
Boys: Live Oak 26.5 Indep. 100.5 (Boys 2-2) Girls: Live Oak 71 Indep. 54 (Girls 4-0) Independence only provides results for top three athletes in each event unfortunantly so there are no full results this week. Event winners for the girls: Amanda Morgan (1600) Katie Armstong (100h/300h/ HJ) Lauren Drewniany (TJ), Courtney Robinson (200/LJ), Olivia Duran (3200), Pauline Olsen (400/800), Danae Chappell (DT), and the girls 4*400 (Courtney, Katie, Lauren, Pauline). For the fellas event winners were: Nic Muhn (300h), Billy Van Aken (100), Matt Acosta (DT). Observations: Kenny Lee PRed in the LJ and then ran a brave 400 took the first 300 like gangbusters and paid the price a little on the home stretch. Great job. Courtney had her first big LJ of the Year. Lauren is starting to cycle the hop leg. Nic is made a nice run at his PR in the LJ. Katie is running great. Mark makes an ok LJ official. Catherine got a 200 under her belt. Sarah can still triple, just needs more speed. Angelina is the first ever natural TJer. |

| Saturday, March 29th @ St. Francis Invite | |
|
Only 3 athletes made the trip. Katie fresh with some track burn, Nic 2 days clear of having his wisdom teeth pulled (ran with gouze in his mouth) and Pauline who forgot her spikes. All things considered all 3 did well, Pauline came in 4th and got to work on technique a little bit. Nic ran his 2nd fastest time ever, and Katie was jumping well till she opened up some of that track burn on her elbow. |

| Wednesday, March 19th vs Pioneer | |

Boys: Live Oak 61 Pioneer 66 (Boys 2-1) Girls: Live Oak 71 Pioneer 55 (Girls 3-0) We had a school record broken today as Lauren Drewniany broke the FS Long jump record by an inch with a jump of 14'8". I have a feeling she will push that record well beyond that before the season is through. Event winner on Wednesday included: Lauren (LJ/TJ), Catherine Sparling (100), Pauline Olsen (400/800), Katie Armstrong (300h), Stephanie Armstong (HJ), Olivia Duran (3200), Danae Chappelle (SP/DT) and the girls 4*400 (Courtney, Katie, Lauren, Pauline). For the guys event winners were: Matt Acosta (SP/DT), Scott Lindstrom (TJ), Mark Cedeno (LJ), Nic Muhn (300h), Billy Van Aken (110hh) as well as the boys 4*100 (Nic-Mark-Armando-James) and 4*400 (Nic-Armando-Garrett-Mark) teams. Armando ran his fastest open 400 as well. |
